If you're new to working with a garden designer, it helps to understand how a project moves from initial ideas through to a completed garden. We work through a clear, staged process so you know what to expect at each step.
Our services range from focused consultancy sessions that offer practical direction and help you make informed decisions to full garden design, providing a comprehensive solution from start to finish, to stand alone planting plans for new and existing gardens.
Garden Consultation
A consultation is a great place to start when
- Your garden is out of control and unsure where to start
- You want ideas to use your space more efficiently
- You would like an appraisal on what works well and areas for improvement
- You are unsure how best to use your budget
- Not sure what plants will work well in your soil
We will spend up to 90 minutes together in your garden, look at what is working for you and what is not, sharing ideas, plants and garden styles and getting clear on your wish list for the future garden.
Following our meeting, we will provide you with:
- A summary of our discussion, a list of ideas for you to consider, imagery of ideas, materials and plants to inspire you along with a fee proposal for further design support.
- A consult is a individual service or the first step in a full garden design.

Garden Design
In creating your new garden, a thorough, thoughtful design process is worth the investment and time to ensure the garden will achieve the outcome you desire.
We begin by listening during a Garden Consultation.
We spend quite a bit of time on-site getting to know the situation well, considering the context of the garden holistically, connecting people and home with the land.
To communicate the design, we draw up plans that you can use to discuss with your garden installer and obtain comparable quotes or use to implement the garden yourself over time.
A garden design includes a concept plan and planting plan for all or part of the garden.
From $2,000.00 + GST depending on size of the property and complexity of the design brief.
Planting Design
Plants do more than just decorate a space, plants give a garden its atmosphere, it’s how we can play with light and other conditions to create your beautiful garden.
Plants can perform functions as well, framing a view, accentuate or reveal, provide calm or invigorate a space.
This is where we decide what plants and where to place them, considering how best to organise them into beautiful combinations.
A planting plan includes pictures of the plants, where to plant them, the size of plant to be purchased and the spacing between plants.
We can also assist you with sourcing plants, plant placement and planting. Separate fees apply.
From $1,500.00 + GST depending on size of the property and complexity of the design brief.
Plant Sourcing
We can assist you with sourcing plants and garden accessories for your garden design or planting plan, we can then prepare the garden beds and pop the plants in.
Whilst we do check plants are available during the design phase, occasionally substitutes may be needed, we can assist with a new plant selection.

Garden Care
Gardens are always a work in progress, changing with the seasons and conditions.
We like to support the evolution of a garden, seeing it through a holistic lens to care and shape, feed and mulch, weed and prune to support a healthy, good-looking garden that you want to spend time in.
Gardens are about the people that make them, just as much as the individual plants. We start with what you have; a tidy up may help to see the potential, we improve the appearance of the existing planting and work with you to develop the garden you want.
The process is intuitive, seasonal, and responsive to the changing needs of the garden.
